| The Sutton Collection |
| The collection consists of two 4-4-2 steam
engines 'Sutton Belle' and 'Sutton Flyer', a petrol mechanical railcar modelled
after one of the GWR's flying bananas, four open and six closed carriages,
plus supporting steelwork from the main station roof, engine shed and a signal
box. The purchase of this superb, historic 15 inch
gauge railway equipment was part funded by the Supporters Association,
some individual members and the National Heritage Memorial Fund. |
Sutton Collection Museum
The construction of the museum to house
part of the

Sutton Collection Appeal
We are in the process of a major fund raising drive to part match the
grant received from the National Heritage Memorial Fund. Any and all donations of
money or labour and materials will be gratefully received. If all
you can afford is to join the Supporters Association please don't hesitate, that too will be
most warmly welcomed. |
