'Toby'

This locomotive was built by R.A. Lister & Company. She was built in 1944 at the company's works in Dursley, Gloucestershire. She came to Cleethorpes in 1992 from Upwell, the line there was 14.25 inch gauge, as was CCLR at the time. On arrival she had a full rebuild in the CCLR workshops. When Cleethorpes was regauged in 1994, Toby went away to F&B who regauged her to match. Since arrival at Cleethorpes it has been the most reliable, and therefore most used, diesel locomotive on the line. Unfortunately in March it gave up the ghost and is now receiving a complete rebuild before returning to service. It is expected a new body will be built sometime in the near future.
