S.M.R. No.1'Sutton Belle'

This locomotive was originally completed by Douglas Clayton in 1933, it was based on a Bassett-Lowke Class 30, and was to be used on his private line near Tewkesbury. She was acquired for the Sutton Miniature Railway in 1947, where she was overhauled, named 'Sutton Belle', and given the distinctive Royal Maroon livery which she carries today. She moved to Cleethorpes, along with the rest of the Sutton Collection in 2002, where she was restored to running order. During her time at Cleethorpes, she has also visited other railways, including The Rhyl Miniature railway, The Windmill Farm railway, Saltburn railway and The Kirklees Light railway. 'Belle' also had the honour of representing the CCLR at the National Railway Museum's 'Railfest 200' event, celebrating 200 years of the steam locomotive, held at the NRM, York in 2004.
